Steve Looker
Award winning filmmaker Steve Looker has worked within commercials, film and TV for many years. His short film, 'Sacrifice' gained high praise from the industry at large and was funded by the regional arts funding and UK Film Council. Steve's cross-role career in commercials, TV and indie-films steadily progressed, making short films, commercials, working with writers, writing features and directing. Steve has learned his craft directing many hours of footage on tight schedules. His directorial 'vision' marries striking visual panache to a writers understanding of story and structure. Clearly a visual director, Steve's strength is in his cinematic vision and his ability to encourage great performances from actors. Having often worked with seasoned actors, Steve has especially shone when working with fledgling performers. Steve personally believes one of his greatest strengths is his ability to work with actors, to help them recognise realistic human behaviour and to give all his films a powerful cinematic vision. Award Winning Shorts - Alarmed, Cold Blood and Sacrifice. Historical Disasters - Black Christmas (TV Feature) 2006, Desperate Measures (Feature Film) 2011 (Distributed by Scanbox).
